Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a blister pack for divisibles

pills.

For solid pharmaceutical preparations, so-called blister packs have been successful, where the tablets or capsules are individually located in recesses of a foil, the recesses are covered with a further foil and the tablets or capsules can be taken out individually by pressing through the closing foil.

Furthermore, divisible tablets have found their way in, where with the help of a breaking instruction or similar, the medicine's dosage can be purposefully reduced. If such divisible tablets are placed in blister packs, the problem arises of how to store the remaining tablets safely, if only a partial dose is taken. The return of the tablet residue in the depression of the packaging foil is unsatisfactory, as the drug is not protected against precipitation or contamination. A seal with an adhesive strip is indeed possible, but very laborious, as in the first place the overprinted foil must be folded over the indentation again to prevent contact with the adhesive as far as possible. For elderly or disabled patients this is not practical.

tablets, whose characteristic features appear from claim 1. Further features of the invention appear from the other independent claims.

In a design according to the invention, the lid is tapered conical or cone-shaped, so that by friction and/or shaping it is securely attached to the recess to be closed. Alternatively or in addition, one or both of the surfaces that come into contact during closing can improve the closing by roughening or placement of bumps, wavy lines or the like. In a particularly advantageous embodiment according to the invention, the lid and recess are connected according to the tongue and groove principle, i.e. for example around the recess there is arranged a double bead which provides the groove, in which a single bead on the lid engages as a spring. These connecting elements, tongue and groove, can be applied as separate elements to the blister strip and lid, and thus be glued or welded together. However, it is particularly advantageous if it is prepared from the strip and lid material itself, for example by embossing or particularly advantageous by deep drawing.

Advantageously, the connecting elements between the lid and recess are designed around the overall recess, as an airtight and watertight enclosure is thereby ensured. The closing elements that connect the groove and the spring can, as with the parts of a push button, have a bead-like design on the outside and a corresponding recess (groove) on the inside.

A further preferred embodiment of the invention is to see therein that the lid is firmly connected to the blister strip. This prevents the lid from being lost. The connection between blister strip and lid can be achieved by one or more bands or strips, as appropriate blister strip, lid and connecting elements consist of one piece, i.e. for example segments are punched out between blister strips and lid, so that a more or less wide strip (or several strips) is left over as connecting elements. In a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the lid is connected to the blister strip in an articulated manner, for example by means of a seam, so that when turning around this joint or seam, the lid comes over the recess to be closed and can easily be fixed by pressing it on.

In a further preferred embodiment according to the invention, there is a flap on the lid which facilitates the opening. This strap can also be used to fix the lid, as it can, for example, be pulled through a loop or according to tongue and groove or the push-button principle can be attached to the strip.

The recess to be closed can be filled with a tablet, however, a separate recess may also be prescribed which

tablet residual stock. In this case, for example, a strip with 11 recesses would only be filled with 10 tablets, as a recess at the end of the blister strip conveniently remains free, to which the lid adjoins.

In the embodiment according to the invention with a flap on the lid on one side, and a separate recess (as tablet residue storage) on the other side, this recess or advantageously only its closure, i.e. preferably not resp. spring, also designed so that it from the joint or the longitudinal side facing away from the hem is designed to taper more or less sharply. Consequently, the "tip" at the lid points in the direction of the flap. This embodiment has the advantage that when the latch is pulled, the bearing is closed or its lid is easier to open primarily at the "tip", whereby a jerky opening is more easily avoided.

Particularly preferred is the blister pack according to the invention for tablets that can be divided several times, especially for tablets that can be divided several times, oblong tablets. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the recess in the blister strip is designed so that these oblong tablets can stand upright.

Fig. 1 shows in elevation the end piece of a blister strip 1, whose end-placed indentation 2 is not closed from the beginning, while the other indentations 3 were originally all closed with the cover foil 4, from the last one, however, the cover foil 4 has been pulled off. An annular double bead 5 is arranged around the recess 2, in the thereby formed groove the bead 6 engages when the lid 7 is turned around the seam 8. The tab 9 facilitates the opening of the closed tablet storage. 10 shows a tablet that can be divided several times with incisions 11. 12 is a perforation line which facilitates the strip-like removal of the cover foil 4, when a recess originally filled with a tablet is to serve as a residual storage. It is thus avoided that residues of the cover foil make it difficult to close with the lid.

The perforation line 12 can also pass through both foils, i.e. base foil and cover foil 4 (not shown in the figure), and then enables "division" of the packed tablets or capsules.

Fig. 2 shows a cross-section through the blister pack according to Fig. 1.

1. Blister pack for divisible tablets, characterized by a hinged lid (7) firmly connected to the blister pack, with which an open recess (2) of the blister pack can be closed. 2. Seal according to claim 1, characterized in that the lid (7) closes according to the tongue and groove principle. 3. Gasket according to claim 2, characterized in that the groove (5) and spring (6) are prepared from the material of the gasket and the lid (7). 4. Gasket according to claims 1-3, characterized in that the lid (7) seals around the recess (2). 5 . Gasket according to claim 3, characterized in that the connection between groove and spring is movable by means of a joint or a seam (8). 6.
