Description
Fremgangsmåte ved fremstilling av farvebånd.
Oppfinnelsen angår en fremgangsmåte ved fremstilling av farvebånd1, særlig til skrivemaskiner, regnemaskiner og kasseapparater, hvor et bånd av syntetiske tekstilmaterial, fortrinnsvis på polyamidbasis, impregneres med en flytende farve.
Tidligere er det anvendt bomullsvev
som bærermaterial til farvebånd. Dette material var vel egnet til å suge opp og holde fast farven på en sådan måte at farven ble avgitt jevnt under bruken av båndet. På den annen side hadde disse farvebånd den ulempe at deres mekaniske styrke var forholdsvis liten, slik at båndene ble gjennomhullet ved typeanslagene alle-rede etter forholdsvis kort tids forløp.
En langt høyere mekanisk styrke av
farvebåndene oppnås derimot ved å an-vende de syntetiske tekstilmaterialer som er kommet frem i de senere år, men som dog har den meget vesentlige ulempe at deres evne til å suge opp farven er ytterst liten.
Oppfinnelsen har til formål å avhjelpe denne ulempe ved farvebånd av syntetisk tekstilmaterial. I henhold til oppfinnelsen er dette oppnådd ved at det bånd som skal impregneres med farve, før eller under impregneringen behandles med ultralyd. Det har vist seg at båndet ved denne be-handling blir i stand til å oppta betydelig større farvemengde enn hittil og å avgi farven jevnt under bruken av båndet, så-ledes at det oppnås et farvebånd som for-ener fordelene ved de kjente bånd av hhv. bomull og syntetisk material uten å ha disses ulemper.
Det skal bemerkes at det er i og for seg kjent å behandle syntetiske tekstiler med ultralyd i den hensikt å oppnå en mindre stiv struktur av sådanne tekstiler og derved gjøre dem behageligere i bruk. Det er imidlertid ikke hittil blitt erkjent at en sådan ultralydbehandling også med fordel kan anvendes for formålet med foreliggende oppfinnelse, nemlig å øke farveopptagelsesevnen.
Den ultralydbehandling som brukes i henhold til oppfinnelsen kan foretas under anvendelse av kjent teknikk, idet en væske benyttes som transmisjonsmédium for ultralydbølgene. Med særlig fordel kan det som sådan transmisjonsvæske anvendes den farvevæske som tjener til impregnering av farvebåndet. Herved oppnås nemlig ikke bare den omtalte forøkede oppsugingsevne av bæremateriaiet, men også at farven under innvirkning av lyd-trykket presses inn i alle porer i båndet og fyller disse effektivt.
Alternativt kan det som transmisjonsmédium også anvendes en væske som vir-ker svellende på de tekstilfibre som anvendes. Herved blir fibrene mer mottagelige for ultralydbehandlingen. Etter utvasking av væsken fra vevet forsvinner svellingen igjen, men virkningen av ultralydbehandlingen bevares. Ved å bruke polyamidfibre kan det som sådan svellende væske f. eks. anvendes en vandig fenoloppløsning eller en mettet klorkalsiumoppløsning i metanol som ultralydtransmisj onsmedium.
Claims (2)
1. Fremgangsmåte ved fremstilling av farvebånd, særlig til skrivemaskiner, regnemaskiner og kasseapparater., hvor et bånd av syntetisk tekstilmaterial, fortrinnsvis på polyamidbasis, impregneres med en flytende farve, karakterisert ved at båndet behandles med ultralyd før eller under impregneringen. I
2. Fremgangsmåte som. angitt i på-
stand 1, hvor en væske benyttes som trans-misj onsmedium for ultrabølgene, karakterisert ved at den. farvevæske som tjener til impregnering av farvebåndet på i og for seg kjent måte anvendes som transmisjonsvæske.
