Description
Forbindingsmateriale for anvendelse i munnhulen.
Foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører et forbindingsmateriale for anvendelse i
munnhulen i dental praksis. Forbindinger av denne art av såkalt sementtype er alle-rede tidligere kjent og fremstilles ved at et egnet oksyd blandes med et saltdan-nende stoff i væskeform. De to ingredien-ser blandes i passende forhold og påføres på det ønskede sted som en mer eller min-dre myk masse som enten kan bringes til å dekke et gingivalt sår eller en tannkavitet. Massen stivner deretter til en sement og danner en motstandsdyktig dekkforbin-ding. Denne sement har imidlertid vist seg å ha visse ulemper. Således er blant annet vedheftningen av forbindingen ikke til-fredsstillende og fastheten ikke så høy som ønskelig er. Den nu anvendte kommersielle sement har vist seg i hovedsaken å bestå av bare sinkoksyd og eugenol.
Formålet med oppfinnelsen er å skaffe en ny forbinding med vesentlig forbedret vedheftningsevne og fasthet.
Forbindingen ifølge oppfinnelsen tilveiebringes ved at de kjente utgangssub-stanser eugenol og sinkoksyd blandes med en plast eller plastblanding og et ikke vannabsorberende materiale av typen polyetylenftalat med karakter av hårfine fibre idet vektdelene av utgangssub-stansene i det vesentlige forholder seg som 0,9:1:1:0,035. Disse forholdstall er bare å betrakte som veiledende. En forbinding av denne blanding har en vedheftningsevne og fasthetsegenskaper som langt overstiger de tilsvarende egenskaper ved tidligere kjente forbindingsmaterialer.
I henhold til en særlig fordelaktig ut-førelse anvendes en plastblanding bestå-ende av kolofonium, kanadabalsam og perubalsam.
Sylindriske prøvestykker ble fremstilt av både den hittil anvendte, beste forbin-dingssement og av forbindingsmaterialet ifølge oppfinnelsen. De sylindriske prøve-stykker hadde en høyde på ca. 1 cm og en diameter på 1,1 cm og ble i tur og orden anbragt mellom planparallelle plater i en hydraulisk trykk-prøvemaskin av typen Alpha. Det viste seg da at sylinderen av materialet ifølge oppfinnelsen kunne be-lastes med 194 kp/cm-, mens sylinderen av det kommersielle materiale kunne be-lastes med 144 kp/cm<2>.
For å prøve vedheftningen ble et sir-kulært hull med 11 mm diameter i en plast-glasskive av 8,5 mm tykkelse først fylt med massen i henhold til oppfinnelsen og derpå med massen i henhold til det kjente materiale. De propper som ble dannet av de to materialer, ble skjøvet ut med en stål-stav med god pasning i hullet. Det viste seg da at der krevdes en kraft på 111 kp/cm- for å skyve ut massen i henhold til oppfinnelsen og 57,8 kp/cm<2> for å skyve ut den kjente masse. Dette viser entydig den overlegne vedheftningsevne for semen-ten ifølge oppfinnelsen.
Pulverdelen utgjøres av 68 g sinkoksyd,
28,5 g kolofonium og 2,4 g polyetylentereftalat med karakter av hårfine fibre av
lengde 2—4 mm. Væskedelen dannes av 60
g eugenol, 35 g kanadabalsam og perubalsam.
Claims (2)
1. Forbindingsmateriale for anvendelse
i munnhulen, karakterisert vedat det tilveiebringes ved at de kjente ut-
gangssubstanser eugenol og sinkoksyd blandes med en plast eller plastblanding og et ikke vannabsorberende materiale av typen polyetylentereftalat med karakter av hårfine fibre, idet vektdelene av ut-gangssubstansene i det vesentlige forholder seg som 0,9:1:1:0,035.
2. Forbindingsmateriale ifølge påstand 1, karakterisert ved at plastblan-dingen utgjøres av kolofonium, kanadabalsam og perubalsam.
