Foreliggende oppfinnelse vedrører en emissjonselektrode for elektrofilter med horisontal gassgjennomstrømming, forsynt med 'Utstikkende emitterende elementer og bestående av et vertikalt opphengt, av platemateriale utført profil med et plant midtparti og oppbøyde eller opprullede kantlister. Da virkningsgraden av et elektrofilter er i høy grad avhengig av den anvendte spenning og da det kan bevises at virkningsgraden under fraskillelse av grov-ere støv, dvs. med en partikkelstørrelse over tiltar med kvadratet av spenningen, er det fordelaktig å utføre filtret således at spenningen kan holdes på den høyst mulige verdi. Med de hittil anvendte typer av emissjonselektroder kan spenningen riktignok holdes høy, men ved elektroder av denne art har det vist seg vanskelig å oppnå en gunstig strømtfordeling uten fare for over-slag.
