Description
The present invention relates to a water trap, in particular a floor water trap for embedding in concrete floors. In the past, water locks made of cast iron were known almost exclusively for this purpose, which are excellently suited for embedding in concrete, and such water locks are still widely used. However, it is well known that they offer several disadvantages that will not be described in more detail here. Water locks made of plastic material have been proposed. These offer advantages in that they can be produced cheaply and can be self-cleaning, but they are not suitable for embedding and are in most places directly prohibited for this use. Water locks made of stainless steel sheet are particularly suitable for embedding and are used to an increasing extent, but a water lock unit is a relatively complicated subject which is expensive to manufacture in such a material, not least if special construction conditions are imposed, e.g. that the outlet pipe should extend flush with the inlet pipe..
Disse problemer vil være mindre jo kortere tilløpsrøret er,,men den lave beliggenhet av vannlåsen er ønskelig også av den grunn at Usually, cast iron water traps are placed in concrete floors in such a way that they are accessible for emptying and cleaning from the roof below. They cannot be expected to be self-righting and are therefore, as is known, provided with a unscrewable cleaning plug, as they are mounted so deep in the floor or floor covering that this plug is visible and accessible from the room below. This low-lying installation of the water trap often means that a fairly long downspout pipe must be used for the water trap from the associated floor well or another drain, and in this long pipe impurities are easily deposited, which will thus be located above the water trap and thus can cause a pronounced odor problem - more. These problems will be less the shorter the inlet pipe is, but the low location of the water trap is also desirable for the reason that
dens utløpsrør helst skal ligge tett ved undersiden av etasjedekket. its outlet pipe should ideally lie close to the underside of the floor deck.
The purpose of the invention is to provide a water trap which is suitable for embedding and yet can be made both relatively cheaply and with self-cleaning properties.
This is achieved according to the invention by the water trap being arranged as indicated in the characterizing part of claim 1. The water trap will thereby appear externally as a metal object which is suitable for embedding and. inside, the active water lock part itself can be made in an optimal way according to considerations other than just embedding,
The metal housing can also be manufactured quite cheaply as its shape is uncomplicated. In addition, the inlet and outlet pipes can be connected to the house completely independent of the design of the water lock part itself, i.e. both their direction and their connection parts can be freely chosen on one and the other side of the partition wall respectively. It is therefore possible to place the housing as an extension on a straight piece of pipe, i.e. the outlet pipe can
Vannlåsen kan derved plasseres forholdsvis høyt'i etasjeskillet slik at tilløpsrøret blir kort;denne anbringelse vil være tillatelig nettopp fordi det uten å va.-.iyl:';li.: ;.jøreinnstøpnings-muligheten, kan anvendes en selvrensende vannlåsinnsats av kunststoff easily mounted so that it extends a short distance downwards and merges into a lower pipe bend. The water trap can thereby be placed relatively high in the floor separation so that the inlet pipe is short; this placement will be permissible precisely because, without compromising the possibility of embedding, a self-cleaning water trap insert made of plastic can be used
som ikke krever å være tilgjengelig nedenfra. which does not require to be accessible from below.
The invention shall be explained in more detail in the following in connection with the drawing where

fig.4 et perspektivriss av vannlåsinnsatsen i denne. fig.4 a perspective view of the water lock insert in this.
Den viste vannlås omfatter et hus 2 som er tilsluttet The water trap shown comprises a housing 2 which is connected
The housing 2 has a lower bowl part 8 to which the drain pipe 6 is welded, and an upper dome part 10 to which the inlet pipe 4 is welded. The parts 8 and 10 abut against each other along protruding flanges which are assembled by means of rolling or rolling, possibly with subsequent welding and with the edge of a separator plate 12 sandwiched between the flanges. This dividing plate 12 forms an upper side of a water lock insert which is designated in its entirety by .14 and. in so far as can be of any suitable design and any suitable material.
In the embodiment shown, the water trap insert consists of a bowl 16 made of plastic placed in connection with the underside of the dividing plate 12, which is also made of plastic. Water from the inlet pipe 4 can run down into the bowl 16 through a hole 18 in the dividing plate and run out from the bowl through a hole 20 which is formed in the side of the bowl immediately below the dividing plate 12. Between the holes 18 and 20 is placed a plate part 22 which from the dividing plate 12 projects downwards to a level between the bottom of the bowl 16 and the lower edge of the outlet hole 20 so that a water lock unit is thereby formed in a manner known per se. Since the inlet to the water trap unit is through the hole 18 from the space above the partition plate, the location of the inlet pipe on the dome part 10 as well as the pipe's inlet direction can be freely chosen, and since the outlet from the water trap unit is through the hole 20 to the interior of the bowl part 8, a corresponding freedom applies hot for the location and direction of the outlet pipe 6, regardless of the fact that most often the pipe will run out from the lowest bottom part of the bowl 8. Furthermore, several inlet pipes can of course be connected to the upper part. len.
Especially when the separating plate 12 consists of synthetic material, it will form a seal along the composite edges of the upper and lower part of the housing so that complete tightness is achieved in a simple manner.
When the water trap part 14 is made with a rounded bottom and. otherwise in a generally appropriate manner, it will be considered self-draining and it will therefore normally be unnecessary to adjust it for mechanical cleaning from the outside. If desired, or if it is prescribed by the authorities, an access possibility can however be established by means of a removable plug 24 in a hole in the dome part 10 designed over the inlet hole 18 or over a removable cover 26 over an opening in the partition plate 12 between the plate part 22 and the outlet hole 20 Incidentally, the edge of the inlet hole 18 can be made in a funnel shape and thereby cause downward control of a cleaning spring or flushing hose brought down from above.
The housing 2 does not necessarily have to be composed of two bowl-shaped parts, as it e.g. can consist of a straight-cylindrical pipe piece with a round or angular cross-section, in which the water trap insert is placed in a reasonably tight-fitting manner, e.g. on a rolled-in bearing bead, while the pipe ends can be closed with disk parts in which there are connection holes for the pipes 4 and 6. Optionally, these pipes can be replaced with short connection stubs; The dividing plate 12 does not have to be flat or take up an exact horizontal position.
I fig.3 er det vist en foretrukket utførelsesform In Fig. 3, a preferred embodiment is shown
De ytre flenskanter.av over-og underdelen til huset er forbundet ved rullesveising utenfor ytterkanten av vannlåsinn-satsens kantflens. which in principle corresponds completely to the one described above and will therefore only be mentioned very briefly. The housing itself is made with a square cross-section and the water lock insert -14' as shown in fig.4, is cast in heat-resistant nylon. The outer flange edges of the upper and lower parts of the housing are connected by roller welding outside the outer edge of the water lock insert's edge flange.
