Description

Apparat til fremstilling av
matvarebeholdere.
Den foreliggende oppfinnelse angår et apparat til fremstilling av evakuerbare, steriliserbare matvarebeholdere av posetypen under anvendelse av et bøyelig, gassugjennomtrengelig pakningsmateriale av varmforseglbar plastbelagt metallfolie og et til dannelse av-lukkesømmer tjenende impulsforseglingsapparat som består av overfor hinannen liggende forseglingsskinner, mellom hvilke poseåpningen etter delvis lukking ved nesting presses og deretter lukkes gasstett ved va rme s tø to pp va r mn i n g.
Der har i matvareindustrien i det siste vært en tilbøyelighet til overgang til beholdere av en annen art enn de vanliye fortinnede eller lakkerte bokser, nærmere bestemt til bøyelige beholdere av en typisk "pose"-form som produktet innesluttes hermetisk i ved varmeforsegling.
Det banemateriale som anvendes ved fremstilling av disse posebeholdere,
er et gassugjennomtrengelig laminat som f.eks. kan omfatte tynne skikt av kunstharpiks og metall, vanligvis aluminium i forskjellige kombi-nasjoner, idet innerskiktet (som skal danne innersiden av posen) dog er fremstilt av varmeforseglbar eller sveisbar termoplastisk harpiks, fortrinnsvis polypropen.
Til tross for anvendelsen av to overfor hinannen liggende sveiseskinner eller dobbelt-sveiseskinner (to oppvarmede sveiseskinner istedenfor en sveiseskinne og en motholdsskinne) hvis temperatur over-våkes og styres av en temperaturføler, og som skiftes ut når tempera-turføleren viser at den riktige temperatur ikke lenger kan overholdes, har det vist seg at det ikke har vært mulig å oppnå tilstrekkelig sikkerhet for at posene lukkes gass- og lufttett, respektive forblir tette tilstrekkelig lenge.
Hensikten med oppfinnelsen er derfor å finne frem til årsakene til denne utilstrekkelige sikkerhet og gi anvisning på hvorledes sikker-heten kan økes. Nærmere bestemt er det hensikten med oppfinnelsen å skaffe et forseglingsapparat som med stor sikkerhet gir gass- og lufttett lukking av matvarebeholdere av den angitte art.
Ifølge oppfinnelsen er det funnet at der ofte forekom lokale uregelmessigheter i temperaturen (lokal overoppvarmning) langs forseg-lingsskinnen lenge før skinnens temperaturføler avga noe feilsignal. Disse overtemperaturer menes å skyldes visse lokale forandringer i forseglingsstrimmelens struktur, nærmere bestemt små sprekker av større eller mindre dybde. Før feilen gir utslag på skinnens temperaturføler kan der gå opptil 10 minutter eller mere, svarende til en produksjon på f.eks. 200 poser hvis sveisesømmer oppviser en latent feil og derfor etterhvert vil bli utette.
For å avhjelpe denne ulempe skaffer oppfinnelsen et apparat av
den innledningsvis nevnte art, karakterisert ved at hver av de to forseglingsskinner er forsynt med flere temperaturfølere som er fordelt over lengden,av skinnen og virker på en felles kontroll- og koblingsanordning. Kontroll- og koblingsanordningen er fortrinnsvis forbundet med en hovedbryter til utkobling av pakkeapparatet. Videre kan kontroll- og koblingsanordningen inneholde en strøm-modulasjonsenhet med tilordnede, i og for seg kjente tidsbrytere for forseglingsskinnenes arbeid.
På et slikt apparat er det således mulig hele tiden å overholde
de ønskede betingelser for forseglingen over hele sveisesømmens lengde.
Der bør minst være anordnet en temperaturføler ved hver ende av skinnen og en føler på midten, og fortrinnsvis anordnes der flere enn tre følere jevnt fordelt over lengden. Hvis en av følerne skulle vise at temperaturen av én eller annen grunn ikke holder ség innenfor den fastsatte toléranse, blir hele apparatet utkoblet, slik at unødig feil-produksjon kan unngås. "Eventue'lt kan dé siste par poser som er forseglet, også sorteres ut.
Oppfinnelsen vil nå bli nærmere beskrevet under henvisning til tegningen. Fig. 1 er en grafisk oversikt over fremstillingen av posebeholdere. Fig. 2 viser delvis i snitt og delvis i enderiss to varmeforseg-lingsskinner som anvendes i apparatet ifølge oppfinnelsen.

På fig. 1 betegner henvisningstallet 10 en rull av en bøyelig
bane 12 av gassugjennomtrengelig metallfolie belagt med en sveisbar plast. Ved hjelp av egnede, ikke viste organer føres banen 12 trinnvis frem langs en produksjonslinje som blant annet omfatter en brette-innretning 14 som bretter banen 12 langs dennes langsgående midtlinje med plastskiktet vendende inn. Den brettede bane, som er betegnet med 12A, føres mellom to "varme" forseglingsskinner (d.v.s. skinner som hele tiden holdes på en bestemt forseglingstemperatur, f.eks. 160°C) som er betegnet med 16, og som danner en tang på tvers av banen. Hver gang banen 12A stopper lukker tangen seg om banen for å danne en tversgående søm 18 som strekker seg over hele bredden av banen 12A. De virksomme flater av skinnene 16 er fortrinnsvis rillet på langs, slik at hver tverrsøm 18 omfatter en flerhet av parallelle sveiselinjer som ligger tett sammen.
Et par langsgående forseglingsskinner 20 er anordnet etter de tversgående skinner 16. Skinnene 20 er likeledes av den "varme" type og er anordnet på hver sin side av banens bretningslinje 12B. Etter hvert matningsskritt av banen stanser den tversgående søm ved midten av den tang som dannes av de langsgående skinner 20, og når tangen lukker, gir den derfor en langsgående søm 22 som strekker seg tvers over den respektive tverrsøm. Den opprinnelige bane 12 blir på denne måte om-dannet til en sammenhengende kjede av oppad åpne lommer 24 .
Ved linjen 26, som på fig. 1 er tegnet inn som en strekpunktert linje, er der anordnet en i og for seg kjent kappeinnretning som deler banen 12A larigs en midtlinje gjennom hver tversgående søm 18 når banen midlertidig står stille. Resultatet er en rekke rektangulære poser 30 som hver er forseglet eller sveiset langs tre kanter og åpen ved overkanten. Transportorganer (ikke vist) av en hvilken som helst egnet type fører posene 30 langs produksjonslinjen. Henvisningstallet 32 betegner en fyllestasjon hvor de øvre fliker av posen føres bort fra hinannen (f.eks. ved hjelp av sugekopporganer 36) og det produkt som skal pakkes, fylles i posen ved hjelp av et fyllehode 34 som er innrettet til å bevege seg vertikalt for å føres inn mellom de åpnede fliker av posen. Fyllingen avpasses slik at der i posen levnes et relativt stort fritt rom (spesielt når det gjelder ferdiglagede mål-tider som f.eks. gulasj og lignende) som kan representere opp til en tredjedel av den samlede kapasitet av posen, og som tjener til mot-tagelse av damper som unnviker fra produktet under den etterfølgende sterilisering av dette.
Fylletrinnet og de trinn som følger direkte etter dette, er nokså kritiske og delikate. For det første bør fylling finne sted uten at
innersidene av de på avstand fra hinannen stående fliker av posen blir tilsmurt av fett, saus eller lignende, slik at den etterfølgende forsegling av flikene ikke vil bli påvirket uheldig. Under fyllingen bør derfor sugekoppene holde flikene tilstrekkelig langt ute fra hinannen til at fyllehodet kan komme inn i posen uten å berøre dennes inner-flater. Da fyllehodet arbeider intermittent, bør dets avstengnings-organer dessuten være av en slik art at der unngås drypping.
På den annen side må man være klar over at når posen fylles, endres dens hovedsakelig plane form til en voluminøs, form, og av denne grunn vil posens fliker få en mer eller mindre bølget eller forvridd form, noe som har avgjørende .innflytelse, på et heldig resultat av sluttforseglingstrinnet.
Sugekoppene 36 (eller andre tilsvarende organer) lukker derfor
flikene av pakken så snart fyllehodet er trukkét opp fra posen, og de på denne måte lukkede fliker blir foreløpig nestet sammen ved hjelp.av et par "varm"-forseglingsskinner 38. Dette skinnepar skaffer -fortrinnsvis en sammenhengende søm 40 som strekker seg over et midtparti av den øvre kant av posen uten å forbinde de to sidesømmer, slik at der fås en fri passasje nær de to sidesømmer.
Den således behandlede pose fører til et vakuumkammer 42 hvori der er anordnet et par fprseglingsskinner 44 som arbeider med et "varme-støt", og hvis drift vil bli beskrevet nedenfor. Når kammeret 42 ut-settes for vakuum, blir gassene i posen fjernet, og skinnene 44 danner straks sluttforseglingen, som er betegnet med 46 på fig. 1. De således forseglede poser blir sterilisert i en autoklav 48.
Etter steriliseringen blir posenes tetthet prøvet i en gasskromato-grafisk prøvestasjon 50.
På fig. 2 er de "varmestøf-skinner som tidligere er generelt betegnet med 44 på fig. 1, betegnet med henholdsvis 44A og 44B. Skinnen 44A er vist i tverrsnitt. Skinnene vender mot hinannen og ligger på hver sin side av det plan P som de poser som skal forsegles, beveges i, og transportretningen er åpenbart vinkelrett på figurplanet. Hver skinne omfatter et elektrisk motstandslegeme av flat båndform 52 som ved sine motsatte ender er koblet til ledninger 54 for oppvarmnings-strøm. Hver av motstandene 52 opptas i en kanalformet del 56 av silikongummi, idet et langsgående kantparti av motstandslegemet rager jevnt ut fra den åpne side av delen 56 et lite stykke. Enheten av metallstrimmel og gummi er omgitt av en tynn mantel av fluorkarbon-harpiks (spesielt polytetrafluoreten) og er inneholdt i et stivt bære-legeme 60 av f.eks. råjern og med C-formet tverrsnitt.
Som nevnt foran arbeider varmforseglingsskinnene 44A og 44B med varmestøt eller varmepulser. Når en pose kommer inn mellom skinnene, er disse nærmere bestemt hovedsakelig kalde og klemmer i denne til-stand overkanten av posen sammen på et sted noe under "nestingen" 40. Det område som sluttforseglingen 46 utføres i, blir således først lagt flatt mellom skinnene, og motstandsstrimlene 52 blir deretter tilført strøm i en tilstrekkelig tid til å gi den nødvendige forseglingstemperatur. Etter avslutning av forseglingen holdes skinnene sammen-presset inntil forseglingssonen i det vesentlige er blirt avkjølt.
Skinnene 44A og 44B styres av den på fig. 3 viste krets. På denne figur betegner 62 en tidsbryter som er forbundet med et strømnett 64 og via ledninger 66 også med en elektromagnetisk manøvrert skinneklem-innretning. Tidsbryteren 62 kan innstilles for automatisk å lukke og åpne skinnene på de riktige tidspunkter.
En ytterligere tidsbryter 68 som også kan innstilles, er koblet sammen med tidsbryteren 62 og er innrettet til å forbinde motstandene 52 i skinnene med strømnettet 64 i det tidsrom som er nødvendig for forsegling. Tidsbryteren 68 er underordnet tidsbryteren 62, slik at lukking av skinnene, start av oppvarmningen, stans av oppvarmningen og åpningen av skinnene finner sted i riktig rekkefølge med de ønskede tidsmellomrom.
Temperaturfordelingen over lengden av hver skinne.44A og 44B av-føles av en flerhet av temperaturfølere (termoelementer) 70 som er festet til baksiden av de respektive motstandsstrimler 52 (se også
fig. 2) og forbundet med et sentralstyreapparat 72 (fig. 31. Dette apparat omfatter et temperaturinnstillingsorgan 74 og et varslings-organ 76 som kan være en klokke eller en varsellampe. Anordningen er slik at operatøren omgående varsles så snart et eller annet av termoelementene 70 oppdager en utillatelig temperaturavvlkelse i forhold til den innstilte temperatur i det område den er anordnet. Apparatet 72 er via ledninger 78 fortrinnsvis forbundet med en hovedbryter som stanser hele pakkeprosessen når et slikt avvik forekommer. Apparatet 72 innbefatter fortrinnsvis en i og for seg kjent modulasjonsenhet for skinneoppvarmningsstrømmen i tilknytning til oppvarmningstids-bryteren 68 for å modulere oppvarmningsstrømmen (bryte og slutte strøm-men) i avhengighet av den temperatur som avføles av termoelementene, slik at motstandsstrimlene 52 holdes på en konstant temperatur (f.eks. 155°C) fra det øyeblikk denne temperatur først nås, til oppvarmnings-strømmen brytes av tidsbryteren 68.

Claims (3)

1. Apparat til fremstilling av evakuerbare, steriliserbare matvarebeholdere av posetypen under anvendelse av et bøyelig, gassugjennomtrengelig pakningsmateriale av varmforseglbar plastbelagt metallfolie og et til dannelse av lukkesømmer tjenende impulsforseglingsapparat som består av overfor hinannen liggende forseglingsskinner, mellom hvilke poseåpningen etter delvis lukking ved nesting presses og deretter lukkes gasstett ved varmestøt-oppvarmning, karakterisert ved at hver av de to forseglingsskinner (44A, 44B) er forsynt med flere temperaturfølere (70) som er fordelt over lengden av skinnen og virker på en felles kontroll- og koblingsanordning (72, 74, 76)..
2. Apparat som angitt i krav 1, karakterisert ved at kontroll- og koblingsanordningen (72, 74, 76) er forbundet med en hovedbryter til utkobling av pakkeapparatet.
3. Apparat som angitt i krav 1 eller 2, karakterisert ved at kontroll- og koblingsanordningen (72, 74, 76) inneholder en strøm-modulasjonsenhet med tilordnede, i og for seg kjente tidsbrytere (62, 68) for forseglingsskinnenes (44A, 44B) arbeid. Anførte n li hliii-o oi „ .
