Description
Anordning ved byggbare hyller. Device for buildable shelves.
The present invention relates to a device for buildable shelves and aims to provide a construction which is simple and cheap to manufacture and which can be easily assembled on site. In addition, good stability and possibilities for variation of the height of the shelf plates within wide limits without the aid of tools are intended.
More precisely, the invention relates to a device for buildable shelves consisting of two support posts lying at opposite ends of the shelf and provided with fixing holes, on which can be mounted consoles with protruding support arms for the shelf plates on either side of the support post and with fixing pins that fit in the fastening holes, and the invention is distinguished by the fact that the console is made of wire material or similar in a triangular shape and that the fastening pins are arranged so that there is a springy engagement in the support posts and that the consoles are provided at their outer ends with upwardly directed pins for insertion into corresponding holes in the shelf plates, so that the shelf is held together in its longitudinal direction. Purpose-wise, the shelf tabs of the console are slightly inclined, so that they must be inserted with tension into the holes of the shelf plates and the shelf plates are thereby securely held. A further feature is that the shelf plates with their short sides rest against the support posts and that the holes of the shelf plates are at such a distance from the edges of the short sides that the support arms of the console with the shelf pins must be bent somewhat in the direction of the support post towards the console's own spring action in order for the shelf pins to be inserted into the shelf plates holes, whereby an increased stability is achieved.

The support posts 1, which consist of pipes, rest against the floor with foot plates 2 and are fixed at the upper end to the wall with the help of a bent rod or a bent pipe 3. Between the support posts are inserted shelf plates 4 which rest on consoles 5 which are attached to the support posts in the manner described below. The tubular support posts 1 have a number of diametrically arranged holes 12. The consoles 5, see in particular fig. 7, is formed from pieces of metal wire and has two arms 6 and 7 which support the shelf plates 4 and which protrude on both sides of the support post across the longitudinal direction of the shelf plates when the console is attached to the support post. At the outer ends, these arms are supported by two legs 8 which collide at a common point and, in the embodiment shown, together with the arms 6 and 7 form an isosceles triangle. However, it is not necessary that the triangle be exactly isosceles. On the upper side acc. at the base of the triangle, the console has a hook-shaped attachment pin 9, and at the tip below the pin 9 there is another attachment pin 10, which two pins are shaped from pieces of metal wire. The fixing pins 9 and 10 serve to secure the consoles to the support posts. At the outer ends of the arms 6 and 7, there are upwardly directed pins 11 which, in the embodiment shown, constitute extensions of the legs 8. These pins 11 serve to hold the shelf plates 4 by engagement in bores 13 therein.
Hyllekonstruksjonen monteres på følg-ende vis. The shelf construction is assembled as follows.
The consoles 5 are attached to the support posts 1 by first inserting the attachment pin 9 into the desired hole 12 on the support post. The console is then brought into the one in fig. 4 shown position, in which the lower fastening pin 10 is too low to be able to be inserted into the corresponding hole 12 in the support post. The console must therefore be pressed somewhat together by hand so that the fixing pin 10 can be moved to the final position according to fig. 5. When the console is then released, it will return to its starting position, so that the fixing pins 9 and 10 are pressed against the walls in corresponding holes and thereby securely hold the console to the support post.
The shelf plates 4 are now placed on the consoles 5 in such a position that the bores 13 on the underside of the shelf plates will lie as close to the pins 11 as possible. Fig. 6 shows with dotted lines the position of the legs 8, the arms 6 and 7 and the pins 11 before the latter are inserted into the bores 13. These bores are at a greater distance from the end of the shelf plates than the pins 11. When the shelf plates 4 rest against the support posts 1, the outer ends of the arms 6 and 7 must therefore be bent out in the direction of the support posts 1 to enable the pins 11 to be inserted into the bores 13. Due to the console's own spring action, the shelf plate 4 is pressed against the support post 1 when the console is released, so that good stability is achieved.
As can be seen in particular from fig. 5, the tabs 11 are not directed straight up, but slightly. When the pins 11 are introduced into the bores 13, they are thus pressed against their walls, so that the shelf plate is also securely held in a vertical direction. In addition, the pins 11 have an inclined position as a result of which the fixing pin 10 is kept pressed against the support post 1 and does not lose its grip.
