Description
Fyll-legeme for hule paneler. Fill-body for hollow panels.
This invention relates to filler bodies for hollow panels which are filled with an insert or a core and which can be used for the production of doors, walls, partitions and the like. It has recently been found that very strong and light doors can be produced without the use of such machining and the like as is required in the production of ordinary doors. To explain the invention, a door is described which consists of a regular framework consisting of massive horizontal and vertical wooden slats, between which the panel is placed which mostly consists of a pair of veneer sheets or other shaped sheets, between which a filling body is placed in according to the invention which consists of molded fiber mass or similar. Furthermore, it has been found that such doors can be produced as mass production, so that, when using the relatively cheap materials that are needed, doors can be obtained that are far cheaper than the usual, solid wood manufactured doors. Doors of the new type also have several air-filled internal spaces, which provide both sound and heat insulation that cannot be achieved with ordinary massive wooden doors.
Det kan også The filler body can be produced from any fiber material that can be formed from an aqueous dispersion, preferably from wood fibres. For this purpose, a press mold can be used, e.g. of that in the U.S. patent no. 2,192,937 described art. The fiber material can either consist of a slurry of ordinary wood fibers, e.g. wood shavings, chemically or semi-chemically obtained fibres, or of mixtures of such materials. It can too
bestå av fibre av glass, hamp eller liknende. consist of fibers of glass, hemp or similar.
An object of the invention thus consists in providing a filling body for doors or the like, which has a light weight and a robust construction.
Another purpose is to provide a filler body for doors or the like that provides good sound and heat insulation.
A further purpose is to provide filling bodies for doors and the like which, in addition to being robust, can also be produced easily and cheaply.
In the different figures, the same reference numbers are used for the same parts.
A plate 10 (fig. 2) has on one side several rows of parallel hollow projections 12, all of which form a polygonal body with four inclined walls 14 and a top surface 16, which in the embodiment shown is practically square. Each of the projections 12 is connected at its lower edge to a neighboring projection, so that a recess 20 appears between the projections.
Each of the projections on the central part of the sheet is combined with the projections abutting them, so that depressions 22 are formed which correspond to the adjacent projections and have common inclined side walls 14. The bottom plates in these depressions 22 also have a substantially square shape.
The edges of the sheet 10 are designed somewhat differently from the central part, in that the edges 24 and 26 have practically the same height as the projections 22 and are provided with a number of separate projections 28 resp. 30, which lie in line with the central projections 12. These projections 28 resp. 30, however, comprises only two inclined walls, such as e.g. 32 and 34, which go together with a top flange, e.g. 36 and 38, as the protrusions extend over these flanges and have extra side walls 40 or 42, which is integral with but forms an angle in relation to the two flanges and the respective side walls 32 and 34. The side walls 32 and 34, on the other hand, are integral with a four-sided top surface 24 which has approximately half the area of the top surface 16 , while the side walls 34 and 42 merge with similar four-sided top surfaces 46.
Indentations 48 are formed between the projections 28 on the flange 36 and indentations 50 are formed between the projections 30 and the flange 38. The indentations 48 are each in connection with recesses 52, which, due to the position of the edge wall 24, have a slightly different shape than the central recesses, the bottom plate 54 being pentagonal instead of square. The same is the case with the bottom plates 56 with recesses 58, which are in communication with the recesses 50. As each of the recesses 48 and 50 is in line with a channel 20, a complete groove or passage appears from each pocket to the edges of the sheet. The significance of this type of construction will be apparent from the following.
In a known manner at 62 resp. 64, a number of separate, hollow projections 66 or 68, as each is connected by an end projection 12. In the space between these projections 66 resp. 68 there are recesses 70 and 72 respectively, each of which has a bottom plate at 74 and 66, which have. a similar shape to the top surface 44 and 46. If two sheets 10 were to be placed edge to edge, the protrusions 66 or 68 on a sheet are placed so that they overlap the protrusions 60 or 68 on the second sheet, so that a binding is formed.
5 and 6 show how a plate of the type described above can be used in a door, which is generally designated by the number 78. This door has a rear outer plate 80 and
Det foretrekkes å anvende flere slike a front outer plate 82. These outer plates can be made of any suitable material, but preferably consist of veneer, hard fiberboard or the like. The outer plates are kept at a distance from each other by a framework 84, which consists of horizontal slats 86 and vertical slats 88. The framework is connected to the outer plates in any suitable way, e.g. using glue, rivets or the like. Between the outer plates, the filling material described above is placed inside the framework. This is preferably made up of several plates 90. It is preferred to use several of these
En egnet størrelse og fasong for en plate er en rektangulær sådan som er ca. plates, as such plates can easily be produced in standard sizes and as many of them as each special purpose requires can then be used. As the plates are "cast" and the channels 20 form weakening lines, the plates can easily be broken along these channels so that individual pieces are obtained which can fill in voids. A suitable size and shape for a plate is a rectangular one which is approx.
60 cm lang og ca. 17,5 cm bred og som har 60 cm long and approx. 17.5 cm wide and which has
en høyde som svarer til hulrommet i døren eller panelet. a height corresponding to the cavity in the door or panel.
Fig. 7—11 viser forskjellige anordninger av panelene i fem dører av vanlig anvendt størrelse. A good, rigid panel or door construction can be obtained if these filler plates are placed with overlapping edges, as shown at 92 in fig. 5, 6 and 8, or at a distance from each other, as shown at 96 in fig. 7, at 98 in fig. 9 □g at 100 in fig. 10. The largest distance that can be used between the plates when good rigidity is to be achieved is approx. 2.5 cm. Fig. 7-11 show different arrangements of the panels in five doors of commonly used size.
Fig. 7 viser åpninger 102 i dø-rens forside. The filler plates are preferably attached to the outer plates using some known glue, preferably casein glue or synthetic resin glue, which gives the door or panel great resistance to deformation. This is important if the outer plates consist of particularly light material, e.g. veneer. In order to obtain a cheap production, glue can only be used on the parts of the filling material that lie against the outer plates, i.e. on the top surface of the Lnnpressings and on the bottom surface of the hollow teeth. The gluing can be done cold or wet. Cold gluing has the advantage of being simple and cheap, but hot gluing gives a better connection. Hot gluing is carried out at temperatures up to 175° C. Below this, the adhesive and the fibers give off moisture and water vapour, which escapes through the recesses 48 and 50 which are connected to the channels 20. Fig. 7 shows openings 102 in the front of the door. These openings release moisture and water vapor from the interior of the door during hot-gluing, after which they are closed using suitable plugs.
If you want the product to be fireproof, a normal cover plate, consisting of a cast plaster layer covered with a glued-on paper, is particularly effective. The filler plates can also be made fireproof by incorporating inert fibers or fillers into them, or by impregnating them with suitable chemicals, e.g. with sulfamic acid and ammonium phosphate.
The depressions and depressions are shown in the form of a four-sided pyramid, but this shape is not decisive; it can with equal effect, e.g. forms such as truncated cones are used.
I fig. The described embodiment can be varied in different ways within the framework of the invention. Thus, instead of vertical strips that are narrower than the horizontal strips, as shown in fig. 7—11, use vertical strips as wide as, or wider than, the horizontal ones if desired. In addition, a locking block is only needed next to the vertical strips if, when manufacturing the door, you know whether the door is to be used as a right- or left-swing. Doors that have the same outer sides can be used right- or left-swinging with just one locking block. In fig. 7, ventilation holes 102 are shown only in one horizontal strip, but if desired, such holes can be placed in both horizontal strips or both in the horizontal and in the vertical strips.
