Abstract

The present invention relates to a mat comprising disc bodies which are connected to one another in one plane, each in turn comprising at least two discs which are connected to one another and lie above one another. By connecting the disc bodies to one another in such a manner that they form a chain, more particularly a closed chain, they can be arranged in varying patterns as a cohesive unit in the plane of the mat. Consequently, the shape of the surface of the mat can be varied.
