Sculptures, reliefs and decorations are made on furniture, doors, cupboard, etc using a mixt. based on a synthetic polymer by (a) producing a mould with a negative surface of the original or the required model by impressing the original model into a mixt. of epoxy resin with amine hardener, reinforced with textile fibres, (b) if necessary touching up the surface with the same mixt. of textile-reinforced epoxy resin and hardener, (c) allowing the mould to harden completely, (d) coating the inner surface of the mould completely with a thin layer of the liq. epoxy resin with hardener, mixed with pure quartz sand, (e) hardening again, (f) coating the surface with a non-polar mould release solvent and rubbing this well, (g) filling the mould with wood coloured polyurethane resin contg. a filler, alternating with a layer of polyurethane resin with pure quartz sand and natural textile fibres, (h) hardening agains and (i) lifting the moulding from the mould.
