Abstract

Since heating elements mounted in the side walls and the top and bottom plates results in wastage of energy when baking, this oven has a heated baking tray (8) in addition to the normal elements. The heating elements (10,11) are set into a heat-conducting material (9) which fills a cavity under the top surface of the baking tray (8). The tray elements are connected to a plug that mates with a number of sockets on the oven back plate, allowing the tray to be moved to different heights in the oven.
