Abstract

The frame has two barrier bars which are spaced when in use and contain vertically erectable parts. These bars can be swivelled to each other from an open position into a lockable and unlockable position by driving in the cow. After unlocking, the bars can be swivelled back into the open position. In the open position, the space between the vertical parts is significantly greater than the width of the animal's head. In the closed position, the space is less than the head width but greater than the neck width. The pivot side of the barrier bars is the side away from the animal entry side.
