Abstract

The cassette recording tape can be produced with reduced dimensions while still retaining the length and width of the tape. The two spools are mounted concentrically and the tape is wound on the spools in such a way that they will rotate in opposite directions when the tape is being transferred. The inner and outer spools (2, 3) each have a drum (7, 8) which is used to fix the ends of the tapes (4). The section (104) of the outer spool is fed via a reversing roll (11) to a straight section (204) on the open side of the cassette.
