Abstract

A primary colour print is produced in half tone, where black is approximated by balancing the primary colour components of the print. The print will only involve three primary colour processes. The density of each black component image is increased, prior to combining primary colour images. It involves separating differentially filtered images at an angle and reducing the dimensions of the dots of these images in accordance with the red, blue and yellow components. A combination of primary colour and black half tone printing plate is prepared using the image with reduced dot dimensions.
