Abstract

The communication system monitors a selected sub-station remotely from a main or coordination control. It uses a narrow band transmission channel such as a speech channel. The sub-station does not have to be manned. A sub-station is equipped to receive and reproduce signals and to transmit signals via an auxiliary communication unit. The auxiliary communication unit is controlled by the incoming signal. The main station is equipped with a command signal transmitter which can be selectively switched on.
