Abstract

In an intercommunication line selection system for voice communication comprising call stations eg 1 and a two-line (ring) circuit L, an interface 7 is provided between the call stations and the ring circuit. The interface 7 includes the following devices: a) Audio-frequency transmitters 8 for short-term transmission of call signals f1-fn-1, wherein each of these audio-frequency transmitters can be switched on by one of the call keys 4; b) A further audio-frequency transmitter 9 for transmitting a holding signal fo by which for the whole duration of the voice communication the call stations not being called are blocked and "engaged" signals are effected, which can be switched on by all the call keys; c) An audio-frequency receiver 11 for the call signal fn, by which the receiving means 2 of the call station are switched on; and d) An audio-frequency receiver 12 for the holding signal fo, by which on the one hand the receiving means of the call station being called are maintained switched on and on the other hand the receiving means of the call station not being called are blocked, via a gate 14 and a store 13. Lamps 5 and 6 indicate the call and engaged conditions respectively. <IMAGE>
