Abstract

The simultaneous data and speech transmission system uses telephone lines, where the information is transferred in a non-coded form. The information is printed on a carrier or reproduced on a video end station from where it is transmitted. The information is stored in a memory and the symbols coded in blocks each containing a number of symbols. The normal telephone connection is established between the calling or transmission station and the called or receiving station. The message is then reproduced in a non-coded form at the receiving staton. The blocks of symbols are only transmitted after the identity of the receiving station has been confirmed in the transmission station.
