PURPOSE:To display necessary facsimile information being transmitted on a dot display device as a soft copy by utilizing the dot display device provided normally to a facsimile equipment. CONSTITUTION:For facsimile communication in five stages of phases A-E prescribed by CCITT (Consultative Committee of International Telegraph and Telephone), information for discriminating the party station, such as a party station telephone number, is sent from the party station in the phase B and postprocessing in the ending of communication is performed in the phase C. In the phase B, the party-station discrimination information demodulated by an NCU4 and an MODEM3 is normally displayed on a dot display device 6.
