Abstract
The system applies roof covering material in strip form, the strips overlapping each other and warm bituminous asphalt being used as an adhesive and applied to the overlapping and overlapped portions. Surplus adhesive emerging from the side is removed after setting. Next to the overlapped portion of the previously-laid strip (2) is applied an adhesive strip (6), with glue on one side and of material hard to tear. The surplus adhesive flows out onto this strip when the next strip (4) of covering material is fitted. Once this has set, the adhesive strip is removed with it. The adhesive strip can be 15-20 cm. wide, with a tensile strength of at least 4 kg per cm. width.
