Abstract

1285556 Sealing expansion joints W R GRACE & CO 16 Oct 1969 [17 July 1968] 34099/68 Addition to 1230754 Heading E1B The expansion gap between concrete slabs is sealed against water penetration by applying one or more self-adhesive strips to the adjacent coplanar slab faces, the strip comprising a sheet or fabric of polyethylene or polypropylene supporting a membrane of water-proofing pressure-sensitive adhesive which is a bituminous rubber composition-as in the Parent Specification. The strip(s) may be positioned on a base and the concrete slabs cast thereon; alternatively a strip may be applied to adjacent cast slabs.
