Abstract

The electric shock generator, is used to control livestock or crowds, or for administering psychiatric treatment. The device is portable and does not use any make and break contacts, apart from the on and off switch. The power is supplied from one and a half volt batteries. It contains a pair of electric probes (26, 27) linked to an electronic circuit. The latter incorporates a converter for the low voltage source. The rectified high voltage output is connected to the probes. The oscillator for chopping the low direct voltage is a free running multivibrator.
