Abstract

The tear-open pack consists of two flat sheets which are locally joined together by welded zones (2, 6-11) which form the boundaries of compartments (3-5)so obtained between the sheets for holding different ingredients. There are at least three successive compartments (3-5) separated by parallel fold and tear lines (12, 13) extending from one longitudinal edge to the other. The dimensions are such that the outer compartments (3, 5) can be folded inwards on to the centre compartment (4). One or more compartments (3) may be further subsided by welded zone (8) into two sub-compartments (3', 3''). Protrusions hold the assembly in the inward-folded position.
