Abstract
The vehicle brake system is of the non-locking type giving a driver-operated but controlled braking force. The arrangement is such that if the selected braking force exceeds the measured (2) braking force, a control circuit (9) adjusts the braking force to a max. permissible to prevent locking the wheels under the prevailing circumstances. The brake cylinder may be solenoid (3) - operated, and the actual brake force may be measured by a strain gauge (2). The brake force may be driven-controlled via a control element (6) in a closed circuit with feedback, and there may be a comparator circuit (8) to detect any excess of the selected over the measured force. The control circuit (9) may comprise an integrator (9.5), a flip-flop circuit (9.4), a comparator circuit (9.2), a differentiator circuit (9.3) and a transistor (9.1).
