Abstract

TheThe electrophoretic analysis system for samples of liquids, especially blood serum, uses a reservoir for a buffer liquid into which are inserted electrodes connectable to a d.c. voltage source. A carrier in the form of containers resting on a horizontal surface contains a porous gelatinous mass which is in an electrical conductive condition with the buffer liquid. A cover system passes over the cylindrical reservoir and forms an air tight seal for the whole assembly. The main cover plate lies over two smaller covers which are carried over the top of the buffer liquid compartments.
