Abstract

A mixer for agitating liquids in long tubes has a bed of rotating, parallel cylindrical rollerse mounted in a frame. The bed may be tipped on an axel parallel to the base of the bed but a right angles to the rollers. A motor on the bed drives the rollers. It also drives an eccentrically mounted pin which contacts the frame and rocks the whole bed. Used for mixing liquids in tubes by rolling them about their long axes and also rocking them in a different direction. The construction is extremely simple.
