Abstract

1413756 Photographic processing apparatus EASTMAN KODAK CO 7 March 1973 [7 March 1972] 10966/73 Heading G2X A processing apparatus for strip materials (especially photographic) comprises a plurality of liquid processing stations 16-18, a helical strip supporting member 4 disposed about a shank 26, 27 having a longitudinally extending axis 5, and means for translating rotation of the strip supporting member stations into movement of the member along the axis of the shank so that a strip 1 supported by the strip supporting member is successively received in the processing stations. As shown, Fig. 1 support member 4 has a raised screw-thread 6 on which strip 1 is held by pins 12; on rotation of shaft 27 by a handle 32 this screw-thread engages the shaped walls 28-31 of processing tanks 16-18 so that member 4 is screwed longitudinally causing strip 1 to be passed through the processing tanks and optionally past a drier (not shown). In an alternative embodiment screw-thread 6 engages an internal screw-thread in a support 23 to effect the longitudinal movement.
