Abstract

The procedure for moving machines stepwise along bottom of sea or other waters is intended for underwater research or exploitation of mineral deposits. The machine is lifted and swung in predetermined direction relative to tis support which at that time is resting on the sea or water bottom. In order to swing the machine in direction towards its support resting on the bottom, its part adjoining an opposite support to that resting on the bottom is lifted and after completion of the swinging movement it is lowered, to position of the opposite support on the bottom. The machine consists of a housing with a support at each end and a container adjoining each support, connected by pipelines to a working medium, by which the lift and swing of the machine is activated. The working medium may be either gas or liquid of different gravity than water.
