Abstract

The paving stones are separated by V-section joins and the upper surface of each is divided by V-section grooves into a number of surfaces. The grooves can run in any desired pattern and they and the joins are locally widened (3, 4, 5) as desired. The edge of the stones can slope at 45 deg., as can those of the grooves, the latter being approximately 5mm deep. The design combines the ease of laying of regular-shaped stones with the more pleasant effect of crazy paving, the grooves also offering moss the chance to establish itself.
