Abstract

Robust thermoplastic containers with thermoplastic walls comprise an open frame built up from extruded thermoplastic tubes, possibly of rigid expanded material, attached to each other by welding or by means of three-way fittings, and with a cladding forming the walls which is integral with the frame. The containers have a capacity of 0.5 m3 and are strong enough to carry soft fruit without crushing it.
