Abstract

Surface coating of concrete or similar material with a (plastic) mortar, by applying a layer of glass of similar material by means of the (plastic) mortar. Serves both to prevent attack of the concrete by external agents and to improve the appearance. Where the concrete surface is damaged, it is first repaired using mortar and the glass layer is subsequently applied using a plastic (resin) adhesive. For preventing penetration of walls and floors by e.g. ground water, the glass layer may be applied on the substrate with the aid of a thin mortar (grout).
