Abstract

The spiral housing is cut out from a plate of plastic. The fan can be accommodated in a spiral shaped opening cut out of a plastic plate mounted in the housing. The plastic used can be of the foam type. The design is cheap to produce, and in addition greatly reduces fan noise when running, thus being particularly suitable for use in ventilating private houses. A partition baffle plate (6) stretches over the greater part longitudinally parallel to the housing base plate (1), whilst below plate (6) is a space accessible through the fan housing suction branch.
