The title cpds are of formula: (where R1-3 are independently H or 1-4C alkyl, n is 4-6, and A is H, halogen, lower keto-alkoxy, aralkoxy, opt. substd. aryloxy, or 1-4C alkoxy or alkyl) together with their pharmaceutically acceptable salts. They are prepd. by reacting the corresp. cpd. in which CR1CR2COOR3 is H with R1COR2, to obtain cpds in which R3 is H, or by reacting this phenol with XCR1R2COOR3 (where X is halogen or OH).
