Abstract

Appts. for the biological and chemical treatment of effluent, of the known type consisting of a circular reservoir subdivided by a partition wall into a centrally situated aeration chamber with a riser pipe therein and an after-clarifying clamber, with the improvement whereby a high speed fan is installed in the riser pipe generating a downwardly directed water flow, while a Venturi throat is provided below the fan and whereby a number of suction pipes connecting the riser pipe with the after-clarifier are installed and an annular opening is present on the lower end of the partition wall between the aeration chamber and the clarifier.
