Abstract

In a mixer comprising a trough which can rotate in either direction and at different speeds and is arranged on a travelling frame releasable from the drive of the machine (a) a rotatable kneading and/or mixing element extends approximately to the bottom of the trough and is situated eccentrically with respect to the axis of rotation of the trough, (b) a second element or worktool, stationary with respect to the drive component of the machine and having a guide plough at its lower end, also extends to the bottom of the trough and is situated between the axes of rotation of the trough and the rotating mixing element respectively and is fixed to the outside top part of the machine housing, this second element has an approximately square cross section as far as the guide plough and is twisted helically in the direction of its longitudinal axis in such a way that the attached plough intersects or extends tangentially with respect to the operating circle of the rotating mixing element.
