Abstract
Compsn. for extruding a polymer foam with a closed cell structure consists of a polyalkene, pref. polyethylene 5-20% wt. sealing agent such as high impact polystyrene, an acrylic elastomer, sorbitan trioleate, sorbitan monostearate, or glycol monostearate, a particulate nuclei-forming system and a combination of >=2 blowing agents which are normally gaseous and have different vapour pressures and solubilities in the polymer mixt, pref. dichlorodifluoromethane or monochlorodifluoromethane.
