Abstract
The present invention discloses an eco-friendly water-based ink. The ink is composed of the following components: 30%-36% of a resin liquid, 28%-32% of deionized water, O.15%-O.45% of dimethylethanolamine, 0.05%-O.15% ofa dispersant, O.1%-O.3% of a wetting agent, O.3%-O.7% of an emulsifier, O.1%-O.3% of a retarder, 0.05%-O.3% of a defoaming agent, and 30%-40% of an organic pigment. The ecofriendly water-based ink of the present invention is safe, non-toxic, harmless, noncombustible, and nonexplosible, hardly produces volatile organic compounds, and is stable in performance and suitable for various printing fields.
Description
1 001711P-NL ECO-FRIENDLY WATER-BASED INK AND METHOD FOR PREPARING SAME
FIELD OF TECHNOLOGY The present invention belongs to the field of printing, and particularly discloses an eco- friendly water-based ink and a method for preparing the same.
BACKGROUND A water-based ink is a printing ink prepared with particular water-base polymer resin, a pigment and water with an additive added and through procedures of dispersion, grinding, blending, compounding, filtration, etc., which is called an ink for short. The water-based ink is called a novel “eco-friendly ink” and a “green ink” since it has incomparable advantages when compared with a traditional ink. Different from the traditional ink, the most significant feature of the water-based ink is a dissolution carrier used by the water-based ink. A dissolution carrier of the traditional ink is an organic solvent such as methylbenzene, ethyl acetate, acetone and ethyl alcohol. The dissolution carrier of the water-based ink is water or water mixed with a small quantity of alcohol. Since the water is used as the dissolution carrier, the water-based ink has outstanding eco-friendliness and safety, is safe, non-toxic, harmless, non-combustible, and nonexplosible, and hardly produces volatile organic compounds. The water-based ink in modern sense was introduced from abroad in 1990s, and profiting from development of a water-based resin synthetic technology and development of a pigment synthetic technology, the water-based ink solves two difficulties of a printing effect and a material cost. At present, along with emphasis on health, and enhanced environmental awareness, a normal benzene-containing offset printing technology has been gradually replaced with eco-friendly water-based printing. Compared with traditional benzene-containing offset printing ink, the water-based ink will not produce residues during manufacturing and printing and on a printed matter since the water is used as the carrier, and do not produce harm to an environment or a human body, thereby being called the green ink. A popularization rate of the water-based ink in developed countries has reached or higher, and is higher than that in China since the high-end water-based ink technology has always been monopolized abroad. Domestic water-based inks hardly achieve ideal printing effect. If the ink is imported from abroad, besides the high price, subsequent service is also very passive, which is very detrimental to quality improvement of a printing enterprise and enterprise development.
2 001711P-NL A printing method of mostly widely applying the water-based ink is flexography, followed by intaglio printing and silk-screen printing. In the field of printing of a corrugated carton, the flexography method using the water-based ink occupies the absolutely dominant position. At present, apart from a market of the corrugated carton, the water-based ink is gaining development momentum in the field of various paper printing, such as printing of all kinds of food packaging of a paper cup, a paper bag, a paper bowl, a tissue, etc., and is widely applied day by day in the field of tobacco and wine packaging, medicine packaging, child toy packaging, etc. In the field of printing of a plastic film, the water-based ink has already met the requirements of surface printing and inner printing. In view of a long-term development trend, as the environmental protection requirements become increasingly strict, the ink technology develops and the cost becomes lower, a market share of the water-based ink is expected to reach or higher, that is, the water-based ink will become an absolute subject of the printing ink, fields whose requirements can be met by the water-based ink will use water-based ink printing, and any other ink merely serves as a supplementary printing material in a special occasion.
SUMMARY An objective of the present invention is to provide an eco-friendly water-based ink. The ink is composed of the following components (by weight in percentage): 30%-36% of a resin liquid, 28%-32% of deionized water, 0.15%-0.45% of dimethylethanolamine,
0.05%-0.15% of a dispersant, 0.1%-0.3% of a wetting agent, 0.3%-0.7% of an emulsifier, 0.1%-0.3% of a retarder, 0.05%-0.3% of a defoaming agent, and 30%-40% of an organic pigment.
Further, a method for preparing the eco-friendly water-based ink includes firstly dispersing color paste formed by the components in proportion in a stainless steel kettle, mixing and then stirring the same for about 1.5 hours, then placing the same for 12 hours to make the same chemically react fully, and pulling a liquid color paste subjected to reaction into a horizontal grinder to grind the same in 12 hours, fineness of a particle of the color paste subjected to grinding being <5 um, and a pH value being controlled to fall within 8.5-9.0.
Further, monoethanolamine is properly added for adjustment under the condition that the pH value is too low. A varnish for the eco-friendly water-based ink is characterized in that it includes 15%
3 001711P-NL of a film emulsion, 14% of a film-forming emulsion, 23% of a coverage emulsion, 0.4% of a wetting agent, 2.5% of a waterproof wax emulsion, 1.4% of a wax emulsion, 0.15% of an adhesion promoter, 0.05% of a wetting agent, 0.03% of a defoaming agent, 0.04% of ethyl alcohol, 10.4% of a high light emulsion, 0.03% of a flatting agent and 33% of grinding resin. Further, the materials are added according to an arrangement sequence and corresponding adding quantities, stirred for 10 minutes at about 750 rpm, through which a pH value of a prepared ink liquid falls within 8.5-9.0, and then sealed stored. The eco-friendly water-based ink of the present invention is safe, non-toxic, harmless, non-combustible, and nonexplosible, hardly produces volatile organic compounds, and is stable in performance and suitable for various printing fields.
DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS The prevent invention will be further described below. According to a method for preparing an eco-friendly water-based ink of the present invention, an organic pigment, a resin liquid, deionized water, dimethylethanolamine, a wetting agent, an emulsifier, a retarder, a defoaming agent and a dispersant are added in proportion, and firstly, color paste is dispersed in a stainless steel kettle, wherein the formula includes 30%-36% of the resin liquid, 28%-32% of the deionized water, 0.15%-0.45% of the dimethylethanolamine, 0.05%-0.15% of the dispersant,
0.1%-0.3% of the wetting agent, 0.3%-0.7% of the emulsifier, 0.1%-0.3% of the retarder,
0.05%-0.3% of the defoaming agent, and 30%-40% of an organic pigment. The materials are mixed, and then stirred for about 1.5 hours, then placed for 12 hours to make the same chemically react fully. A liquid color paste subjected to reaction in 12 hours is pulled into a horizontal grinder to be ground for about three times generally. It is required that fineness of a particle of the color paste subjected to grinding is £5 um and a pH value is controlled to fall within 8.5-9.0, and monoethanolamine is properly added for adjustment under the condition that the pH value is too low. A formula of a varnish includes 15% of a film emulsion, 14% of a film-forming emulsion, 23% of a coverage emulsion, 0.4% of a wetting agent, 2.5% of a waterproof wax emulsion, 1.4% of a wax emulsion, 0.15% of an adhesion promoter, 0.05% of a wetting agent, 0.03% of a defoaming agent, 0.04% of ethyl alcohol, 10.4% of a high light emulsion, 0.03% of a flatting agent and 33% of grinding resin. The materials are added according to an arrangement sequence and corresponding adding quantities, stirred for 10 minutes at

Example 1 A formula for red color paste: 33.5% of a resin liquid, 30% of deionized water, 0.3% of dimethylethanolamine, 0.1% of a dispersant, 0.2% of a wetting agent, 0.5% of an emulsifier, 0.2% of a retarder, 0.2% of a defoaming agent, and 35% of a red organic pigment are included.
Example 2 A formula for yellow color paste: 31% of a resin liquid, 28% of deionized water, 0.16% of dimethylethanolamine, 0.07% of a dispersant, 0.3% of a wetting agent, 0.7% of an emulsifier, 0.3% of a retarder, 0.05% of a defoaming agent, and 39.42% of a yellow organic pigment are included.
Example 3 A formula for blue color paste: 36% of a resin liquid, 31.9% of deionized water, 0.45% of dimethylethanolamine, 0.13% of a dispersant, 0.25% of a wetting agent, 0.6% of an emulsifier, 0.3% of a retarder, 0.25% of a defoaming agent, and 30.12% of a blue organic pigment are included.
