Snelkoppeling voor een trus-systeemShortcut for a trus system
The invention relates to a quick coupling for a trus-system, in which mutually facing tubular ends of a first and a second truss part to be mutually coupled are coupled two by two by a loose intermediate part, which with two mutually opposite ends is suitably incorporated in the facing tubular ends, wherein a bore is present in the wall of the said tubular ends, the axial axis of which intersects the axial axis of the tubular end at least substantially perpendicularly, which axial bore axis, at least in the coupled state of the trus system, at least substantially coinciding with the axial axis of a bore in each of the aforementioned ends of the intermediate member, in which each of two substantially aligned bores in said coupled state includes a fixative.
This concerns a trus system known from practice. Trus systems are aluminum spatial construction parts with a triangular or square cross-section, which are used in theater / stage construction and in stand construction to hang lighting and decorations.
In the abovementioned quick-coupling system, the loose intermediate part consists of a piece of tube of a smaller diameter which is inserted into the larger tube ends with two bores on either side, through which two bolts are inserted and tightened. The connection that is established in this way has a number of major drawbacks. It can be mentioned as such that the load-bearing capacity of the construction decreases significantly, that if the bolts and nuts are too tight, the pipes deform so that reuse is not possible, and that during transport the ends can be damaged in such a way that use is no longer possible. . The disadvantages mentioned are experienced by the companies in the stand construction and the companies that rent out the trus system and therefore regularly have to build and dismantle the constructions. All in all, the known quick coupling in these cases leads to a vulnerable quick coupling system, which is overcome with the new quick coupling system according to the invention.
Another construction is known from British patent no. 862,417, in which a quick coupling is described starting from an intermediate part which is slid over the cylindrical ends of the construction parts to be connected and leaves openings to receive wedge-shaped fixing means therein. Said fixation means are received via the openings in a longitudinal slit which is provided for this purpose in a tube wall of the end of the construction parts. A drawback of this known construction, however, is the play which must be present on the one hand to slide the intermediate part onto and off the construction parts manually, but on the other hand leads to a weakening of the final construction. Moreover, with this known quick coupling, a mechanical deformation is always applied in the ends of the coupled construction parts, which can impede a quick disassembly.
In practice, a quick coupling system for a trus system is also known, which is marketed by the British company Slick 35. This quick coupling is based on trus parts with tubular ends with a conically extending outer surface on a first side and tubular ends with a corresponding conically tapering inner surface on an opposite side. Such a conical outer surface of a first trus part is thereby brought together with a conical inner surface of a second trus part to be coupled thereto. The ends thus assembled each comprise a bore 40 the center lines of which coincide in this state. A fixative in these dowel pin bores can be stored therein to establish a semi-permanent bond. A drawback of this known coupling is that when processing the described truss parts, their non-symmetrical design must always be taken into account. This not only hinders a smooth construction of constructions to be manufactured, but also leads, in more complicated constructions 45 with bends, to situations where inner surfaces come to face inner surfaces or outer surfaces to outer surfaces. In these cases, this known system does not provide a satisfactory solution.
A joining technique for tubular structural members is known from Figure 2 of British Patent No. 984,340. This is based on a connecting pipe piece as intermediate part, which is inserted on both sides into the tubular ends of the construction parts to be coupled and is fixed therein under relatively great force. The outer surfaces of the mutually opposite ends of the pipe section and the inner surfaces of the tubular ends can be made slightly conical in order to improve the mutual fit. Due to the force with which the separate parts are brought together in this known coupling, it does not lend and qualify as a quick coupling which allows the mutual connection to be assembled and disassembled quickly and regularly.
Om voornoemde nadelen tegen te gaan heeft een snelkoppeling van de in de aanhef genoemde soort volgens de uitvinding als kenmerk dat het binnenvlak van elk van de genoemde buisvormige uiteinden vanIn order to counteract the above-mentioned drawbacks, a quick coupling of the type mentioned in the preamble according to the invention has the feature that the inner surface of each of said tubular ends of
