Description

A fixation clip to mount a recessed lighting fixture in the ceiling.
The mounting of a down light lighting fixture is mostly done with strong springs which pushes the fixture against the ceiling. The mounting and particularly the dismounting of this lighting fixture in the 5 ceiling is not easy, time consuming and can even injure the installers. This invention has the purpose of fix in an easy and fast way a recessed lighting fixture in the ceiling and makes the dismounting this fixture possible without damaging the ceiling nor the fixture by means of two mounting clips (3). This invention is applicable for two fixture types i.e. the Lucio grid light and the Lucio down light. The actual construction is due to geometrical differences of the both product families different however the 10 principle is the same. The construction for the CFL down light is visualized in the figure 1 and is visualized in figure 2 in detail. The construction for the Grid light is visualized in the figure 3 and is visualized in figure 4 and 5 in detail. The invention consists of two plastic parts, the clip (3) and the clip plate (4). These two parts are mounted in a frame (1) of the CFL down light or in the cover (1) of the of the grid light. The down light fixture can be mounted in a ceiling by first taken out the reflector (2) and 15 then by installing of the mounting clip (3). The grid light fixture is the fixation direct ready for use. The construction of a clip (3) in a clip plate (4) is a such that there a two independent movements possible: a rotation and a translation. The rotation is around an ax (9), this ax can move in a slot between the clip plate (4) and the frame (1) or cover (1) The rotation of the clip (3) will be fixed by means of a removable snap (5) and the translation of the clip (3) will be fixed by means of a rattle (6) of two times 20 two rows of teeth which snap into each other. One row of teeth is in the clip plate (4) and the other row of teeth is in the clip (3) just behind the removable snap (5). The translation is possible by means of sliding the clip (3) in the clip plate (4) in downwards direction with the help of flat surface (10). The fixation is automatically blocked in the upwards direction. The rattle (6) will snap every 1 mm and the spring function in the feet (7) of the clip guaranties a correct force in order to maintain the position of 25 the fixture (1) in the ceiling. The clip (3) can move in a range of 30 mm so a ceiling thickness form 1 mm up to 30 mm is applicable. To take out the down light fixture, first the reflector (2) needs to be removed in the grid light fixture the lamp housing needs to be moved aside. The release bars (8) needs to be pushed towards each other in order to release the removable snap (5) with unblocks the rotation. The clip (3) rotates to the inside of the fixture and releases the fixture out of the ceiling. It is 30 now possible to repositioning the clip as described above so the fixture can be installed in a new position.

Claims (11)

Deze clips (3) klappen uit het frame (1) (CFL down light type armatuur) of uit de cover (1) (HID grid light type armatuur) door middel van een roterende beweging rond een verschuifbare as (9). De clipvoeten (7) klemmen op de bovenkant van het plafond als de clip (3) naar beneden bewogen wordt door middel van een schuif beweging.
