Titel:
Dandy-horse without steering gear with a swing round frame part or at least one swivel wheel.
The invention is a dandy-horse with two or more wheels, it has a swing round frame part or at least one wheel is a swivel wheel. A steering gear as is common by dandy-horses up till now is not used. So a very simple low weight construction is possible. Small dimensions are possible when folded, taken apart or assembled. The dandy-horse can be easily carried, 10 taken along in a motorized vehicle or stored. Because the dandy-horse is a walking aid and of light weight it can be taken onto busses, trams, train and airplane. Used in combination with public transportation it is better suited than a foldable bicycle for the shorter distances because of the small weight and small dimensions. It can be used on pavements, platforms in stores etcetera where bicycles are not allowed. Also for big events, where the parking 15 area is mostly far away, and people have to walk or stand for a longer time, the dandy- horse is very useful.
Moving while sitting on the dandy-horse is preferably done by pushing off the feet one by one. If the force used by both legs is the same the dandy-horse will travel in a straight line. If the forces are different the dandy-horse will describe a curve. This turning effect is 20 increased by leaning over a bit in the wanted direction. Also a small force practiced on the saddle by the inner side of the upper legs is very useful to guide the dandy-horse in the wanted direction.
To control the dandy-horse while sitting on it the saddle has to be rather small and long, with the front pointing up a bit The saddle has to be placed somewhere between the front 25 and back axels to prevent sliding to the front or falling backwards when hitting an object. Also a handle can be used in front of the saddle to hold the dandy-horse and to prevent sliding to the front.

Dutch patent application nr. 6800755 describes a dandy-horse for little children that has 30 four small swivel wheels standing far apart. It is a long, broad and low box with a handlebar.

The invented new type of dandy-horse has a totally different design, is not suited for little children and primarily intended for outdoor use.
NL 1008711 describes a therapeutic application of a dandy-horse with a handlebar and steering gear. In one example two small swivel wheels are placed beside the back wheel.
5 The purpose of the swivel wheels is not to support the patient but for stability.
NL 1028301 C describes a special saddle to support the bottom and pelvis of the patient. It is a therapeutic devise. Not such a special saddle is needed for the invented dandy-horse. The invention is now described by figures:
Fig. 1 is an example of a dandy-horse with two wheels (1) and (2) of which wheel (1) is a 10 swivel wheel. Of course the wheels (1) and (2) can be interchanged, both wheels can be swivel wheels or wheels can be doubled. For safety reasons, when standing still, the dandy horse can be provided with a brake on a wheel or the ground. While sitting on the dandy-horse both legs must be able to reach the ground. That is why the saddle (3) has to be adjustable. This can be done as is commonly used by bicycles or by rotating frame parts 15 (4) and (5) around hinge (6). If the frame parts (4) and (5) can be pushed in for transport reasons, the height of the saddle can also be adjusted in this way. In the right position the frame parts (4) and (5) have to be fixed. This can be done by an adjustable bar (7) or bar and different slots on at least one of the frame parts (4) and (5), If the bar is elastic or partly a spring a more comfortable ride is possible.
20 Fig.2. is a possible side view of part (5) from Fig. 1. It is designed as one peace with a handle. Fig 3. is the dandy horse from Fig. 1 in folded position. The saddle is positioned within the handle and the handle can still be used to lift and transport the dandy-horse If the frame parts (4) and (5) from Fig.l can be pushed in the dimensions will be smaller in transport position.
25 Fig.4 is an example with two swivel wheels and a frame part (1) foldable and frame part (2) can be pushed in. Fig. 5 is the dandy-horse from Fig. 4 in transport position.
Fig. 6 is an example of a dandy-horse with one swivel wheel (1) and a handle in front of the saddle (3). A hook (4) to place a shopping bag is optional.
Fig.7 is an example of a dandy-horse with a swivel part of frame. The small wheel (1) is 30 not necessarily a swivel wheel. A handle could be added.
While using during the dark simple LED lights in the front and at the backside will do.
