Korte aanduiding: Dubbelwerkende transportbandShort indication: Double-acting conveyor belt
The invention relates to a device for transporting goods over a belt cloth in two opposite directions, the device being provided with a single drive and a single belt cloth which is arranged with the aid of return rollers and constraining rollers such that a feed belt and an opposite belt return belt.
Goods such as pot plants in greenhouses are often set out manually in the various compartments of the greenhouse, also known as hoods. Use is made here of mobile collection trolleys or a system of hanging mechanical carriers or loose conveyor belts which are suspended in the hood or placed for the purpose of automating the expansion of the pots in the hood.
The object of the invention is to automate the internal transport of the goods in such a way that the employees no longer have to walk all pots manually into the hoods, but the pots can be supplied automatically from a central aisle, whereby a minimum number of drives and towels are provided.
The systems currently used have a single conveyor per drive, wherein the return belt runs back via a single return roller below the supply belt and is therefore not used as a conveyor belt. Moreover, an additional supporting construction of, for example, rollers is required to be able to carry the band cloth with the pots.
The invention uses the already existing substrate in the processing space as a supporting surface for the belt and guides the belt cloth in such a way that the return belt on the same surface, in a different space, or at a certain distance from the supply belt, serves as a return conveyor belt . With the invention it is possible with a single drive, a single belt cloth, and various return rollers to turn the belt cloth in such a way that two opposite conveyor belts are created.
The existing substrate must be provided with wear mats at the places where the band cloth drags over the ground, which minimizes the wear and the sliding resistance of the band cloth. The direction of rotation of the drive roller can be reversed with the feed belt and the return belt changing direction.

The invention will be explained in more detail below with reference to an exemplary embodiment of the construction according to the invention shown in the figures.
3 toont een detail van de retoursectie van de uitvinding in dezelfde uitvoeringsvorm als weergegeven in fig.1.FIG. 1 shows a first embodiment of the double-acting conveyor belt in perspective; and Fig. 2 shows a detail of the drive section of the invention in the same embodiment; and Figure 3 shows a detail of the return section of the invention in the same embodiment as shown in Figure 1.
In the figures, the same parts are designated with the same reference numerals.
In fig. Fig. 2 shows the drive section of the double-acting conveyor belt according to the invention in perspective. The drive section comprises a single directly driven drive roller 1 around which a towel 2 is tensioned with the aid of a force roller 3 whereby such a revolution about the drive roller is obtained that the force of the roller on the belt is transmitted as optimally as possible. The strip cloth then runs horizontally over a first deflection roller 4, whereafter it is guided downwards and receives a rotation. In the embodiment shown, the strip cloth is then passed under a second return roller 5 so that it is guided horizontally, just above the ground surface 16. This horizontal part of the belt cloth, the supply belt 6, can be used as a conveyor belt. A wear mat 7 is tensioned between the band cloth and the substrate 25 which minimizes the resistance and wear of the band cloth 2.
At the end of the feed belt the belt will be further guided through the return section described below, see Fig. 3. After having completed the return section, the belt will return at the drive section and at the end of the return belt 8 via a return roller 9 are guided up just above the surface. The belt fabric is rotated after the return roller 9, whereafter it runs over the drive roller 1 again via a final return roller 10, the end of the belt cloth 2 being secured at the beginning thereof, so that a single, closed, continuous belt is formed.
The belt cloth 2 runs over the substrate 16 as a feed belt under a return roller 11 just above the substrate, 40 after which it is rotated and is guided further over a return roller 12 horizontally, at right angles to the direction of transport. The towel is then guided over a return roller 13 and tensioned down again after a rotation, under a return roller 14 just above the substrate 16. This results in a new horizontal piece of towel which can be used as a return belt 8 over a second wear mat 15 as a conveyor belt, opposite to the direction of the supply belt. At the end of the return belt, the belt cloth 2 is guided via a return roller 10 to the drive roller 1 as previously described.
