Stackable holder

The invention relates to a stackable container, the top surface of which is open and provided with a bent edge.

Examples of such stackable containers are containers with substantially truncated cone shape, the top surface of which is open, such as for example a bucket, or whose walls consist of triangular and / or trapezoidal segments and the base surface is polygonal according to the number of triangles and / or trapezia . Such stackable holders can also consist of parts, such as for example rings, which can be pushed into each other.

Such bucket-shaped holders or holders with triangular and / or trapezoidal segments as described in the German utility model DE 29701744 have been used for some time, for example in the transport and placement of bunches of cut flowers in water.

After use, the containers must be thoroughly rinsed to remove the contaminated, flower-containing flower water and then stored or transported in stacks so that they take up little space. When rinsing the containers it is, however, inevitable that some moisture will remain in the containers. When subsequently stacking the containers by placing them on top of each other, even when the container is placed with the upper surface downwards, moisture remains between the toms or side walls of the containers, leaving a vacuum between the torus or walls of the containers arises. This entails that the containers placed in each other are difficult to separate from each other.

The invention offers a solution to this problem, namely a stackable holder of the type mentioned in the preamble, the bent edge of which is provided with at least one elongated opening. Due to this elongated opening or several elongated openings, the rinsing water that remains behind runs away surprisingly much better than if only round openings are present. With elongated openings, an oval shape or an elongated shape can preferably be envisaged. The risk of vacuum formation thus decreases, making it easier to dismantle the stacked containers.

In a preferred embodiment, at least one notch is also located in a surface on the underside of the ground surface, preferably in an edge at the level of the surface on the underside of the ground surface, more preferably in such an edge which is in line with the side walls of the container. In this way the vacuum between the containers placed in each other is reduced in a simple manner because a certain space remains between the two containers. When containers with at least one elongated opening are stacked at the bent edge and also at least one notch at the bottom of the side walls, it hardly takes any more effort to pull them apart again.

The holders are usually made of light plastic material, but manufacture of other material such as aluminum is also conceivable.

In general, containers of the same size will be stacked, but also in the case that containers with different height dimensions are used, the use of a container according to the invention will lead to less moisture between the walls of the different containers. The stacked holders can therefore be taken apart more easily.

Figure 1 shows a holder with a truncated cone shape according to the preferred embodiment of the invention including notches.

Figure 2 shows a holder with triangular and trapezoidal side walls, also in the preferred embodiment of the invention including notches.

When the container is used in the reverse state, practically all the leakage water drains away, which also reduces the risk of vacuum formation between the containers. Furthermore, if necessary, notches in the bottom edge also ensure that there is hardly any vacuum between the holders when unstacking. The great advantage that this is achieved in the transport industry and in particular in the transport of holders for cut flowers that need to be rinsed clean with water may be obvious.

Although the present invention has been further elucidated above with reference to a few exemplary embodiments, it is to be understood that the invention is by no means limited thereto. Each holder provided with an upper surface that is open with a bent edge in which goods are transported, wherein afterwards leakage water must be removed, as is also considered, for example, in the transport of fish, to be covered by the invention.
