Abstract

The incoming signal from the communications system is fed via an amplifier to a bridge circuit. The bridge circuit consists of two serial branches (a, b). One branch consists of two similar line balance impedances (Za1, Za2). The second branch (b) consists of a transmission impedance (Zb1) and a characteristic termination impedance (Zterm). The transmission impedance (Zb1) consists of four serial impedance arms connected in parallel. A first parallel impedance is a simple resistance (R1) and a second impedance is a simple capacitance (C1). The other two impedances each consist of a resistance in series with a capacitance.
