Abstract

A lead-acid battery (1) includes a positive electrode plate (3), a negative electrode plate (2), a separator (4) interposed between the positive electrode plate (3) and the negative electrode plate (2), and an electrolyte solution. The separator (4) includes a first rib on at least the negative electrode plate side. The negative electrode plate (2) contains a negative electrode material, and the negative electrode material contains graphite particles. (FIG. 1)
