Abstract
Provided is a palm material utilization method including efficiently separating palm materials such as oil palm materials that have conventionally been left unutilized into vascular bundles and parenchymatous cells to effectively utilize such vascular bundles and parenchymatous cells. The present invention also provides a wood-based material capable of practical applications such as building materials by using the separated vascular bundles, and a method for manufacturing the same. The palm material utilization method according to the present invention includes separating a palm material into vascular bundles and parenchymatous cells by means of pulverization, compression, blasting, high-pressure water jetting, or the like. A plurality of the separated vascular bundles combined are bonded with a resin material, and the resin-applied vascular bundles are used as a structural material of a wood-based material. On the other hand, the separated parenchymatous cells are used as a raw material for livestock feed and bioethanol.
