Abstract

The present invention discloses a system of communication for use in a military operation site. The system comprises a portable personal unit attachable to personnel and a base station in communication with the portable personal unit. The portable personal unit comprises a microcontroller, a global positioning system (GPS) location sensor, a temperature sensor, a humidity sensor, a six degree of freedom (6DOF) inertial sensor, a heartbeat sensor, a solar charger, a surveillance camera and a radio frequency (RF) sensor. The portable personal unit communicates with a mobile wireless gateway deployed between the portable personal unit and the base station through the RF sensor thereof. The mobile wireless gateway comprises a microcontroller, an RF unit comprising an RF antenna and a general packet radio service (GPRS) unit for receiving the data from the RF unit and for transmitting the same through a GPRS antenna via a military network to the base station thereof.
