Abstract
A refrigerator (1) includes a first storage compartment (21), in a refrigeration temperature range, including a front surface section and a rear surface section; a second storage compartment (41), in a refrigeration temperature range, including a front surface section and a rear surface section; a third storage compartment (31), in a cooling temperature range, including wall sections that include a front surface section and a rear surface section, and located between the first storage compartment (21) and the second storage compartment (41); a cooler (600) provided rearward of the rear surface section of the second storage compartment (41 ); a vacuum thermal insulator (500A 1, 500A2, 500A3, 500A4) provided in each of the wall sections partitioning off the third storage compartment (31 ); a first air passage (411) formed behind the vacuum thermal insulator (500A1) provided in the rear surface section of the third storage compartment (31 ), and configured to introduce air from the cooler (600) into the second storage compartment (41); and a second air passage (412) formed behind the vacuum thermal insulator (500A1) provided in the rear surface section of the third storage compartment (31), and configured to return air used at the second storage compartment (41) to the cooler (600). The first air passage (411) and the second air passage (412) are formed overlapping each other in a front-back direction. The first air passage (411) and the second air passage (412) are each branched into two in a width direction of the vacuum thermal insulator (500A1) provided in the rear surface section of the third storage compartment (31).
