Abstract

The present invention provides a heat exchanger (1) including a first header flow path that serves as an outlet of first fluid under an evaporation condition where the heat exchanger (1) functions as an evaporator, serves as an inlet of the first fluid under a condensation condition where the heat exchanger (1) functions as a condenser, and is provided with a branching control pipe (20). There is provided an auxiliary passage (24) communicating with the first header flow path and configured to supply the first fluid to the heat exchanger (1) under the condensation condition. The branching control pipe (20) branches the first fluid flowing out of the first header flow path under an evaporation condition, and the branching control pipe (20) and the auxiliary passage (24) supply a refrigerant to the first header flow path under the condensation condition.
