Abstract

A power unit for a saddled vehicle includes an ACG cover (55) that is joined to a crankcase and that forms a housing space of a rotor of an alternating current generator to enclose the rotor around a rotation axis (Rx). The ACG cover (55) has a circumferential wall (81b) that axially encloses the housing space of the rotor around the rotation axis (Rx) on an outside of the rotor. The circumferential wall (81b) is provided with a wind port (88) for introducing outside air in a radial direction. This structure provides a power unit for a saddled vehicle, configured to suppress flow of foreign substances into a housing space of a cover joined to a crankcase.
