Abstract
A scour protection (3) for an underwater bottom alongside a quay wall is disclosed. The scour protection comprises a foundation/leveling layer of rocks (4) with a size distribution conforming to 100 < Dn50 < 225 mm, and a plurality of prefabricated reinforced concrete slabs (5,5a,5b,5c), adjacently positioned on top of the foundation/levelling layer and leaving a gap (51) between edges (58) of the slabs, the slabs having a lateral dimension of at least 3.5 m. A method for providing the scour protection is also described. Fig. 2
