Abstract

A storage facility and storage method are proposed, each of which can store a waste-derived solid fuel (such as a RDF or a biomass waste-derived solid fuel), which physically, easily ferments, even under hot and humid environments that further accelerate the fermentation. Anaerobic fermentation of the waste-derived solid fuel is caused in a fermenter (52), and a biogas generated by the fermentation is caused to flow into a primary storage tank (53) (biogas storage tank). The biogas is compressed and cooled down, and then stored in a secondary storage tank (54) (biogas storage tank). The biogas stored in the secondary storage tank (54) is transferred to a boiler (61) of a power generating portion (6) to be utilized as a fuel or an auxiliary fuel. Water is removed from fermentation residues of the fuel, and the residues are reutilized as a material of the fuel. Figure 3
